GENERAL INFORMATION
The race began promptly at 9:00 a.m. Both courses were challenging with several steep inclines and declines through the historic town of Fincastle. Participants of all levels of ability were welcome. The streets were closed from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. and the course was marked and staffed by volunteers and county officials to control traffic. Splits were given at each mile marker. Water stops were at 1.5, 3, and 5 mile markers. Fresh fruits and drinks are provided to all runners at the finish line. Bathroom and shower facilities were available at Central Academy.


AGE DIVISIONS
Both men and women in both the 5K and 10K race are categorized in the following age divisions: 9 and under, 10-13, 14-17, 18-22, 23-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-69, 70 and over.
